Yesterday we travelled the east side of the Rockies between Banff and Calgary in 33 degF temperatures, snow storm included, that added to the mystery of these great mountains. Along the way we could see mountains, but not the tops of moist, as they were in the clouds or it was raining, or later snowing! Today we travelled the same roads, so we could see the mountain tops, in temperatures up to 60 deg F. The differences are clear from the photographs.
We came across an abandoned gas station that was the Graffiti artist’s dream. If you could Graffiti it, it was Grafitted – or however you say that! Amazing talent these artists have. And then we cam across a local car show literally at a garage/store in the middle of nowhere.
Every road here leads to a view that is different from the one you just passed. At a boat ramp we found the sign about boats. Any watercraft has to be examined at roadside stations like truck stops – and that includes our canoe, and our travel Friends Kris and Bronwyn’s kayak. They are very serious about zebra mussels, as they were in Montana the same.
