Although the weather is cloudy, sometimes very cloudy, we have managed a boat trip to see the glaciers and the local wild life, and this morning we went to a Salmon Hathery where the fish were waiting to go upstream and spawn which will start in two weeks time. The male salmon were trying to get upstream now and sthe picture shows this guy is one of 20,000 per day who come back to their spawning ground. in the season they deal with millions of salmon, and collect 250, 000,000 eggs to promulgate the stock, in the ocean and around Alaska. there is no doubt the government is doing a good job here.
The Sealions come and feed as the shot shows. The sea otters seem to spend a lot of time sleeping, buy I’m sure they eat a lot too. The glacier has retreated 11 miles in 40 years. U think the landscape lenses itself to people like me, and I’ve done my best on a cloudy day.
