This are, population 17,000, is rich with interesting things to see. The town is part of a Canadian mural program, where towns all over Canada encourage artists to paint murals on buildings that depict the history of the town. Many pictures of these are attached.

The Pioneer Museum, only started 30 years ago, has 75 buildings and masses of artifacts of the early 1900’s. It is run by volunteers who are restoring huge amounts off machinery.

The Aga Khan sponsored a very unusual garden at the University of Alberta Botanical Gardens close to hear. there is also a Japanese Garden and other themed gardens.
