During a visit in March 2019 I had the opportunity to wander among the Medinas in Rabat and Marakesh. The ancient market places are where the locals go to shop, for anything from cellphones, to fruit, meat, confectionary, leather goods and more. The old narrow streets pose some interesting scenes of donkeys loaded with rice, handcarts full of anything that needs moving, and of course people trying to avoid being hit by either.
